Located in a lovely renovated old homestead Choklits boasts one of the biggest natural backyards and play areas in all of Melbourne. The centre with its great facilities and caring staff has a community centre feel with the added bonus of the extended hours of a long day care centre. Our recent expansion of the centre
Choklits Child Care, Kindergarten and Early Learning Centre recently expanded as a response of continued requests for additional child care spaces. We now have new vacancies, meaning it’s entirely possible that our newest family member could be your baby, toddler or pre-school child…
The expansion of our centre included building a brand new Kindergarten room with all new resources as well as a new car park to cater for busy pick-up and drop-off times.
Within the garden we added two new activity forts (including a rock climbing wall and a bridge) and the creation of the popular veggie patch for our sustainability program and the planting of new trees and bushes.

The Choklits Kindergarten program is government funded. Our teacher holds a Bachelor of Early Education qualification and we follow the curriculum all council Kindergartens and private schools must follow. However, we are open from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks of the year and include several extras including weekly excursions.
Choklits as an all-inclusive early learning centre. It’s the underlying philosophy that sits behind everything we do and every decision that we make here at Choklits. We believe everyone in our community should have the opportunity to be included in everything we do.
For this reason, our fee structure is simple. We have one daily fee, which includes everything and we never charge extra for any part of our curriculum.
We don’t hide our fees either, so you’ll always find our fees on our home page.
There is never an additional charge for the sports program (Mondays), the music and movement lessons (Tuesdays), the yoga tuition (Fridays) or for any of our many incursions and excursions.
All meals, nappies and consumables are included within the daily rate. We also provide a welcome pack of goodies and a hat to protect from the Aussie sun.

We are fortunate to have many long term staff at our centre which provides stability, security and certainty for all babies and children. In fact Choklits Director, Sue Brewer has been with the centre for over 20 years. Our staff are nurturing, qualified and knowledgeable and are sure to be a positive influence on your little one.
