Over to Amy…
I love working in early education because I find great fulfilment in working in early education and care because I aspire to create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment where children can thrive, express themselves freely, and grow in safety and happiness. Each child is unique, with their own interests, abilities, and potential. I derive immense satisfaction from uncovering the strengths of every child and witnessing their growth. Moreover, I delight in the joy and surprises that children bring into my life, and I value the opportunity to collaborate with their families in supporting and witnessing their developmental journey.
Throughout my career I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the growth of children across various ages. I firmly believe in instilling trust in children, believing in their abilities and potential. Guiding them from their first steps into a relatively socialised environment from home, I trust in their capacity to adapt, make friends, and learn. Providing opportunities for children to learn and make choices while believing in their capabilities is crucial. In my professional journey, assisting numerous children in settling down, observing their joyful integration into new environments, and making new friends has been one of my proudest achievements.
When I’m not at Choklits I enjoy watching movies and traveling with my family and friends.
I love observing the world through the unique perspective of children, it’s so different from that of adults. I remember once seeing a small puddle by the roadside, and a child exclaimed to me, “Amy, look, this part of the road fell into the water!”
