Dear Families,
This week at Choklits has been packed with movement, mindfulness, and messy fun!
Highlights from the week…
On Monday, we started the week with a calming and engaging Yoga session with Elena. The children stretched, balanced, and practiced mindfulness, helping to build their body awareness and self-regulation skills.
Tuesday was all about sensory exploration during Messy Play with Asten. From squishing, splashing, and experimenting with different textures, messy play encourages creativity, problem-solving, and fine motor development. It also supports children’s curiosity and agency.
On Thursday, we had an extra special Yoga session! The children loved moving their bodies and practicing deep breathing, reinforcing emotional regulation strategies they can use in everyday life.
We ended the week with an exciting Sports Day on Friday, led by Little Sports Heroes! This action-packed session encouraged teamwork, coordination, and confidence as children engaged in physical activities that promote gross motor skills and social connection. It’s been a fantastic week of movement, creativity, and fun.
Learning Initiative: (Choklits Sustainability Development Research Goals)…
Focusing on our contributions to our community and environment, we are developing a new Choklits research program. We are excited to offer you, the parents, an opportunity to get involved in how your children learn, reflect and play through this research initiative. Our team at Choklits will be focusing on some key areas of global sustainability and development to identify ways that we as a community can contribute to in order to make a difference in the world.
