Over to Ellie…
I am passionate about working in early education and care because it allows me to make a positive impact on the lives of young children during their formative years. Witnessing their curiosity, growth, and development brings me immense joy. I believe that fostering a supportive and engaging environment at this stage sets a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning and success. Being a part of their journey is truly fulfilling, and I am dedicated to creating a nurturing space where each child can thrive.
I take great pride in my childcare management career, and one of my most significant achievements has been cultivating a collaborative and inclusive team culture, create an environment where each team member feels valued, supported, and empowered. Building a cohesive team is crucial in providing high-quality care for children. Together, we’ve implemented effective communication strategies, shared best practices, and continuously focused on professional development. Seeing the positive impact of a united team on the children we care for has been truly rewarding and is something I hold dear in my career accomplishments.
When I’m not at Choklits, I like to engage in a variety of hobbies that bring joy and balance to my life. One of my favourite pastimes is reading; I find it to be a great way to unwind and escape into different worlds. Additionally, I have a passion for playing golf and horse riding, which not only keeps me physically active but also allows me to enjoy the outdoors and the strategic aspects of the game, and it’s a fantastic way for me to stay connected with nature. Lastly, spending quality time with my family and friends is incredibly important to me. Whether it’s sharing a meal, going on outings, or simply having heartfelt conversations, these moments create lasting memories and strengthen my relationships.
One of the most heartwarming moments I’ve experienced was when a child approached me with genuine innocence and said, ‘You know, you’re like a superhero without a cape.’ It caught me completely off guard and brought an instant smile to my face. The child went on to explain that superheroes help and make people happy, and in their eyes, I was doing just that. It was a beautiful reminder of the simple, pure perspective that children have, seeing kindness and positivity as heroic qualities. This sweet encounter not only made my day but also served as a touching reminder of the impact we can have on others, even in small, everyday moments.
